"Thank you very much for our tour of West Belfast yesterday. As you know, we have been to Belfast several times before and have done the bus tour, but we found your taxi tour to be a totally unique way of seeing the city. Your policy of having two guides, to speak for both communities, is an excellent one, and meant that we got a really honest picture of the events of the last few hundred years! I will recommend your tours to anyone I know who is visiting Belfast in the future. I think that yours is one of the friendliest cities I have ever been to, and you and your colleague yesterday proved this to be true."

"It's now about two weeks since we took your tour, and we keep thinking of this experience all the time...we are very impressed by our jouney with you...we really think that everybody should have the opportunity to take your tour...thank you for the great experience we were allowed to have with you!"

"Many thanks for your tour. I grew up with Belfast in the news at night. Your commentary gave us all an insight we could never get on the other side of the world. To see the streets we had only seen on television. To hear the stories, to see life carrying on and the hope for peace was a privilege none of us took lightly. Your obvious passion for Belfast, knowledge of history and an ability to communicate to your clients is something special. We wish you well and recommend your tour to anyone interested in your city."

"We are a family of four with two teenagers and we were all appreciative of such an educational tour. We were promptly met by Big E, as pre-arranged via his contact page email. Big E was professional, informative, and fair. We were very impressive."

"I have travelled all over the world and taken dozens of tours, but the tour of Belfast with you has been the best ever! Your tour cost me only £8stg as part of the group, and it was definitely £8stg well spent. Thank you again for the great tour of Belfast."

"Thank you Big E for your very informative political tour of Belfast. You gave our group a very detailed insight into the Irish/British conflict, as well as the social/religious aspects of a divided society. Your tour has since been an integral part of many conversations and debates. An excellent tour, and we all wish you the very best for the future!"

"Thanks Big E for a fantastic 90 minutes of Belfast history. I can honestly say it was the best tour I have done. Thanks again."

"As well as provide us with a wonderful guided tour of Belfast, my whole family felt fully at ease with you. We made the mistake of booking a tour on another website, and when we arrived for this we were told that the price would be almost twice as advertized on the website! The tour guide said that the website hadn't been updated for a long time, yet his email confirming the booking made no mention of this fact! I was very annoyed and cancelled the booking there and then. We were then lucky enough to find your tour, and I was impressed by your commitment to keep your website updated and stand by the prices you advertize there."

"All of us girls really enjoyed your tour (post hen night 29 May 06!) which lasted just the right length of time. We found the session to be very comfortable, informative, educational and quite moving. It certainly makes people like myself (from Australia) appreciate our peaceful upbringings!"

"Thank you so much for the tour, as I explained, it was to help me with my dissertation on visual segregation in N.I. Your info must have been useful, as I went home that night and wrote 1000 words!! I was also pleased with all the photo opportunities I got on the tour. Thanks again."

"...there was so much stuff going on, on both sides of the 'peace wall' that I didn't know existed, it was such an eye opener. Belfast is certainly an educational option for our Higher Education students and I would certainly have no hestitation in using your company again. Kind regards and best wishes for the future."

"Another tour which is much more interesting than the preceding (Belfast Tours). Much less commercial, Big E takes time to explain in a neutral way the Northern Ireland conflict while integrating the meaning of the wall murals with the history (Un autre tour qui est bien plus intressant que le precedent. Beaucoup moins commercial, Big E s'attache prendre le temps d'expliquer de facon neutre le conflit nord-irlandais en s'appuyant sur les murals)."

"Thank you for your tour last week. I had done it before by bus but I found yours very complete, with a lot of information but very organized and with time enough to visit the murals. You also explain the things very clear for foreign people. I also found your web page very useful. Thanks a lot. All the best."

"Thanks very much for todays tour. Looking at your site and seeing your comments...we have been discussing and our guess is that you are from the {deleted:-)} side of the divide?"

"I went on the tour (Big E's) on a cold foggy day in mid-February (2008), and despite the weather enjoyed it immensely. You gain a first-hand experience of the city in a way which would be impossible from any bus. Our guide presented both sides of the troubles and as such, West Belfast, with detailed information and conveyed a real sense of the meaning of what we were seeing. Thought provoking and moving, I would recommend the tour to anyone. Thanks for the experience."

"Fantastic tour, very balanced and gave real perspective of both sides of the divide. Big E was excellent in answering questions and giving you an opportunity to take pictures. We all hope that the strides made in peace continue...for all our hopes!"

"I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed it [the tour]. Big E's taxitours did an amazing job of telling us about the political history and present situation, and we were very moved by it. I would have to say that after being on many tours over the years, this one was the best by far. Thank you again and keep up the great work."

"Thanks so much for taking us on a tour of Belfast. It was very interesting and most informative, and above all moving. Belfast is a great city with so much to offer and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit there, as well as in the rest of the North. We felt very welcome wherever we went! Wishing you every success with your tours, and that things continue to prosper in Northern Ireland, with everlasting PEACE!"

"Just to say thank you for the taxi tour, we both enjoyed it very much...You mention on your website that customers can guess what side of the divide you come from. My wife thinks you are a [one side] but I am going for the [other side]? Again many thanks!"

Correct David (sorry other half:-), well done! Thanks for your comments, they are appreciated. Best wishes!

"Excellent tour and the highlight of our weekend visit to Belfast. Thoroughly nice guy who can answer just about any question you might want answered. Came away with a real balanced insight into events that as individuals we only vaguely remember from the tv news."

"Thanks for the tour last Saturday. It was one of the highlights of a really great week in Northern Ireland. It is without a shadow of a doubt one of the most beautiful places we've ever been to and the taxi tour gave us a really fascinating but rather sobering view on the realities of the history and present for many of the people living in the Province. We literally discussed the experiences on the tour every day for the rest of our time in NI.

I would recommend a holiday in Belfast and its surrounding areas to absolutely everyone with one of your tours as a highlight. It may seem a funny thing to say [from a British person], but one of the things we were particularly blown away by the warmth and friendliness of virtually everyone we met, particularly in light of the fact that many of them statistically must have been Republicans with varying degrees of anti-British political feeling.

By the way, we missed the opportunity to ask you which side of West Belfast you are from. We all agreed afterwards that we thought you were probably from the [?] side. This had nothing to do with the way you presented the facts, simply the fact that you seemed more at ease on [one particular] side of the peace wall!"

Correct Greg, well done! Your comments are appreciated, it was a pleasure having you on the tour!

"A quick thank you for the brilliant, professional, and friendly tour you gave me and my group. Not only was the tour the best we could have asked for, but you went well above and beyond with your help in getting us to George Best's grave and to our final destination. Once again, thank you!"

"Just a quick note to say thank you very much for taking the time to show us West Belfast last Saturday afternoon. My partner and I very much enjoyed ourselves, and appreciated your knowledgeable and friendly commentary - as well as getting back inside your nice warm cab after the rain showers:-) We certainly had a lot to talk about after the tour, and thank you very much for being so open and responsive with our questions.

After a bit of debate {about which side of the divide you belong}, we were taking a bet each way; I think you're from the [A] side, but my partner thinks you're from the [B] side.

Either way, thanks very much again, and we'll certainly recommend you to anyone we know visiting Belfast."

My thanks to you Iza and your partner. [B] is correct, so well done your partner!:-)

"You gave my partner Ian (himself from Belfast) and I your tour last week. I Just wanted to say thank you and let you know that I have used your information and images to help teach my introduction to my Year 8's study of Joan Lingard's 'Across the Barricades'. They knew very little of 'The Troubles' and were gripped by the things I could tell them having been on your tour. They asked questions that it would have been handy to have you here for! Thanks again. All the best."

I'm absolutely delighted my tour was useful in helping you to teach the children! I often help 3rd level students in their studies, but it is especially rewarding to know that younger children got some benefit from my tour and experience. Best wishes!

"I spent a long time trying to find the best tour of the political history of Belfast. Without a doubt, having done the tour with Big E, I made the right decision to book with him. An amazing guy with an equally amazing knowledge of both sides of the 'Divide'. No one could have done it better. Thank you very much indeed."

"Thank you for such a comprehensive, informative and impartial tour of West Belfast. More than anything, the love you have for your city came across.
